FindSupervisor.com is a new portal committed to help these students

FindSupervisor is a portal where students can find supervisors, who can coach them both academically, personally and profesionally. The supervisors have all been through the process of writing dissertations under extreme pressure and they have all found different successful ways to deal with these challenges. They can now pass on their experiences to the people, who need it most – the next generation of students.

FindSupervisor.com is founded and funded by Dr Finn Majlergaard, who was under an extreme pressure when he had to write his doctoral dissertation. Giving up was not asn option, so he had to develop a method to become as effective as possible in the research and writing process. Later he has help numerous students through the dissertation writing process

The Supervisors and the students agree on the financial terms themselves. FindSupervisor.com only facilitates the contact. Some supervisors might want to do it for free, while others will have a variable or fixed fee structure. 

Students don’t quit because they can’t handle the academic level

According to a study from the Gates foundation only 34% dropped out because it was too difficult. The majority, 71% dropped out because they had to work.

We know from our own surveys among adults who pursue MBA, eMBA, DBA and PhD programs that they drop out because it becomes too much pursuing a post-graduate degree and at the same time having a fulltime job and often  having a family with small or younger children.

By getting a supervisor who can relate to all these dilemmas and at the same time coach the students on how to get through it, we believe we can make a lot more students graduate.

On FindSupervisor.com you can create a listing as either a student, supervisor or service provider. Service providers are for instance proofreaders, financial advisors, recruiters, publishers, bookbinders and others who have services to offer the students who are in a major turning point in their lives.
